Antiques Trends & Tips

Trending Vintage Finds for 2026

Here is Southern Living's list of surprising vintage finds that experts recommend looking for, based on insights from antiques dealers:

  • Marble Grape Clusters: Valued for their texture, dimension, and nostalgic appeal, these decorative items serve as chic finishing touches for tabletop book stacks.

  • Match Strikers: Originally used for lighting cigarettes, antique match strikers and 1960s–1970s table lighters are now popular for lighting candles and enhancing tabletop decor.

  • The ‘Flower Power’ Aesthetic: Driven by younger shoppers seeking color and a lived-in feel, bold retro patterns, florals, mushrooms, and stitched pieces like crewels are in high demand.

  • Costume Jewelry: Influenced by social media trends, vintage costume jewelry pieces from brands like Avon, Trifari, Monet, and others are commanding high resale prices.

  • Y2K Decor: Playful items from the late '90s and early 2000s—such as thumbtack lamps, colorful acrylic accessories, and vintage IKEA pieces—are sought after for their strong design sensibilities.

  • Handmade Items: Items requiring high craftsmanship and time, such as quilts, needlepoint, folk art, and studio pottery, are prized for adding warmth and individuality to spaces.

  • Silver-plate Coupes: Beautiful, versatile, and rich in atmosphere, these items are frequently used for everything from holding drinks and snacks to small table floral arrangements.

  • Worn-in Kitchen Items: Wooden bowls, bread boards, and chopping blocks featuring deep cuts, character marks, and repairs are valued because "the more used, the better".

  • Vintage Bags and Accessories: Serving as an approachable entry point for younger buyers, these well-made historical pieces allow people to easily experiment with vintage trends.

  • Painted Furniture: Genuinely old painted furnishings with natural wear and faded coloring—such as blanket boxes and dressers—are appreciated because their original paint is irreplaceable.

  • Alabaster Lamps: These pieces continue to hold a strong place in the vintage world by helping create a collected, authentic look rather than a heavily decorated vibe.

THREE LIVE ACTS. ONE SPECIAL SATURDAY!

Come out to The Opry House at Walnut Grove this Saturday for a full morning of live country music, great food, and good company!

We’re kicking things off around 10 AM with 14-year-old Mason Gibson, a talented young musician already taking the stage and performing live. Then we’ll have a special guest from approximately 11–11:30 AM, followed by Alex Eubanks, bringing his raw, original country sound under the bus from 12–2 PM.

This is a special one — three live acts in one day, something we’ve never done before!

Affordable hot dogs & burgers will be available. Vendors who would like to set up can arrive as early as 6 AM.

Bring the family, enjoy the music, grab some food, and please share to help us pack the place!

What a gem! I visited Time & Time Again on a weekend moms' retreat and my only regret was not planning more time there. Sherrie is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the store is beautifully organized. So many fun treasures to discover! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!
